GENERAL FILM MUSIC AND SOUNDTRACK SITES:

Filmmusic.com

SoundtrackNet: Interviews, reviews, and an excellent database of scores, composers, manufacturers, and more!

Filmtracks.com

Filmtracks: A very professional site set up by Eric and Christian Clemmensen with tons of reviews, links and great information. Benefitting from the variety of their personal favorites, this page covers anything from "To Kill A Mockingbird" to "Crimson Tide".

MFiles: MFiles, a film music site from England, gives reviews of CDs and discusses composers' careers, as well as features on composers and a nice overview of film music Oscars since the beginnings.

MovieMusic.com

MovieMusic.com: An excellent new site with tons of extras. Check out their directory for a massive amount of links to everything from general sites to official composers' and soundtrack label sites.

Scorelogue: Reviews, giveaways, overviews and more. Outdated Web site that hasn't been updated in a while. Still, might be good for archival purposes.

Soundtrack Express

Soundtrack Express: This UK-based Web site with scores of reviews and information about composers is definitely worth a bookmark.

Sounds Familiar

Sounds Familiar: This UK-based Web site has a great feature: It has a database of loads of commercial tunes of ads that are running on British TV. Unfortunately, they don't cover US television.

Soundtrack Price Engine: Find out the going rates of rare CDs in recent auctions.

HOW TO CONTACT A COMPOSER:

If you need to contact a composer directly, you can find out their representatives by going to the Hollywood Reporter's Who Is Who In Composing Web Site. The site was promised to be up in January, so it should be online pretty much daily now.

Don't contact the agency simply if you are a collector and want a specific promo by a certain composer, you will not get very far. Only contact them if you have a legit reason to get in touch with the composer.
